For those who aren’t yet familiar with the Little Rock gem that is Lulu’s Latin Rotisserie & Grill, prepare to fall in love.
Lulu’s is located at 315 N. Bowman, and serves up Latin American-inspired dishes 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Milanesa de Pollo & Hearts of Palm Salad from Lulu’s Latin Rotisserie & Grill
Ingredients:
For the milanesa de pollo:
- 2 lbs. thinly-sliced chicken breasts
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbs. fresh minced garlic
- 2 tbs. fresh or dried oregano
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 2 cups canola oil for frying
- salt and pepper to taste
For the hearts of palm salad:
- 1 cup hearts of palm
- 2 cups mixed greens
- 1/2 cup red onion
- 1 cup diced tomato
- 1 cup avocado
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (whichever color you prefer)
- 3 tbs. cilantro
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1/3 cup olive oil
Instructions:
Mix egg, oregano and garlic and set aside.
Salt and pepper the thinly-sliced chicken breast to taste.
Dip chicken breasts into egg wash.
Coat the chicken in breadcrumbs.
Heat canola oil on medium.
Fry chicken breasts on each side until golden brown.
For the salad, mix ingredients together and add salt/pepper to taste.
