Cue the synth.
The Downtown Little Rock Partnership is partying like it’s 1989 with its newest bash: an ’80s party held in the Main Street Mall at 101 E. Capitol Ave.
Set for Saturday, July 13, this mall party will celebrate the most neon of decades in a space that’s barely changed in 30 years. There, guests can expect a retro arcade, themed drinks, costume and lip sync contests, giveaways, lots of music videos and more throwback fun.
Slick’s Grill will have plenty of burgers on hand, or you can opt for the VIP package that gets you into the Rock City Kicks Lounge, two drink tickets and eats from Samantha’s. Plus, rumor has it Doc Brown’s DeLorean will make a special appearance.
“Downtown Little Rock Partnership got its start in 1984,” says Gabe Holmstrom, executive director of DLRP. “In honor of our 35th birthday, we wanted to do something special and fun to capture the spirit of that time and throw a party that everyone could enjoy, regardless of whether they remember the ’80s or not.”
The fun lasts from 7-11 p.m. and guests must be 21 or older to attend. Click here to get your tickets online.
