6 Top Brunch Spots in Little Rock

Weekends are made for brunching. What’s not to love? Brunch is the perfect mash-up of breakfast and lunch accompanied with booze and your favorite people.

Here are six of our favorite spots from around the city.

Loca Luna, 3519 Old Cantrell Road: Offering a selection of American classics and Mexican-inspired breakfast favorites, Loca Luna remains one of the city’s most popular brunch spots. Located in Riverdale, this Southern bistro offers a menu chock full of delicious Sunday brunch options, including the crab cake Benedict, which tops our list of must-eats. Have a mango mimosa while you browse the menu. But if you prefer your morning libations on the spicy side, we also recommend the Loca Luna bloody mary.

Hours: 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays only.

One Eleven, 111 West Markham Street: Up for a fancy brunch? This is the place. On One Eleven’s brunch menu, you can find everything from biscuits with housemade sausage and spicy sausage gravy to fresh breakfast pastries with brie and housemade yogurt and granola. You’ll also want to grab a grapefruit mimosa while you take in the natural light and decor that will transport you to a Parisian bistro. Reservations are requested.

Hours: 10 a.m.-2 p.m Sundays only.

Delicious Temptations, N. 11220 Rodney Parham: West Little Rock’s premier destination for breakfast, Delicious Temptations lets you select from a variety of gourmet omelets, Eggs Benedict, French toast and pancakes.

Hours: 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

South on Main, 1304 Main Street: Relatively new to the brunch scene by comparison, South on Main made its way up to the top spot on the must-go list very quickly. Using his supreme southern touch to revamp classic offerings like fried oyster eggs Benedict, duck Andouille sausage and hash brown casserole, Chef Matt Bell continues to bring us back with his special seasonal brunch offerings in addition to a special brunch cocktail menu. Here are a few highlights from the latest fall menu.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays only.

Castle on Stagecoach, 6601 Stagecoach Road: This is indeed a brunch fit for royalty. This brunch goes down in an actual castle in Little Rock (!). It features a buffet with classic items such as waffles, eggs, breakfast potatoes, fresh fruit and bacon. Soirée’s Alexis Hosticka checked it out recently and gave it two thumbs up. Here’s her full write up. Brunch is $55 per person and is held once a month.

Reservations are required. Call (501) 960-0658.

The Root, 1500 South Main Street: This charming spot in SoMa offers up a tasty menu comprised of locally sourced ingredients including 100 percent of its meat, eggs and bread. We love the delicious buttermilk pancakes with real maple syrup and soft whipped butter. Don’t be deceived, there is nothing plain about these. They are fluffy and scrumptious and we want to go there right now.

Also try the eggs banh mi, two eggs shipwrecked, topped with house-made garlic mayo, pickled carrot and daikon radish, jalapeno, fresh cilantro, hoisin and Sriracha. Served with toasted baguette and a small side salad, this dish is legit according to editor Amanda Hoelzeman. She hasn’t led us astray yet.

Hours: 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday; 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.
