With Valentine’s Day going down this Saturday, it’s time to start thinking about some of the best places in Little Rock to take your sweetheart. If you’re really looking to impress, here are my top 5 date night restaurants.
Cache Restaurant
Cache has established itself as one of the most popular, hippest restaurants in downtown Little Rock. Whether you just want a drink at the bar upstairs or plan to eat in the gorgeous dining room below, Cache’s modernly elegant décor will make each date night a special occasion.
Valentine’s Plans: On February 14th, Cache will on be serving from a special 4-course prix fixe menu. On both February 13th and 14th, the special menu is available a la carte. For reservations, call (501) 850-0265.
Arthur’s Prime Steakhouse
Arthur’s is your classic steakhouse, but one that can hold its own with some of the very best in the country. Expect elite service, a warm and inviting setting, and steaks, like the wagyu and kobe, that will keep you coming back.
Valentine’s Plans: Arthur’s will all be serving a limited select menu featuring some of its most favorite items. The restaurant will also offer some special feature chef dishes. For reservations, call (501) 821-1830.
Kemuri
Kemuri is still a young pup in the Little Rock restaurant food scene, but in just a short period of time, it has become one of the better dining destinations in town. The dark, yet inviting atmosphere–highlighted by a beautiful bar as the restaurant’s centerpiece—is just perfect for an evening out. Diners can choose from an expansive menu, comprised of various sushi and robata offerings.
Valentine’s Plans: Kemuri’s special menu will include a filet with blue crab and lobster tail served with asparagus and Parmesan arancini, along with a wasabi banana egg roll for dessert. For reservations, call (501) 660-4100.
South on Main
There are few restaurants in the country that offer the complete date night package like South on Main can. On the right night, folks catch an awesome concert and pair it with an elite cocktail and elevated Southern dishes like the trotters or the pan seared catfish with crispy fried grits, Brussels sprouts and onion jam.
Valentine’s Plans: South on Main has a full day of it planned on the 14th. It starts with brunch (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) with options that includes: breakfast tacos, fried pork loin, cruller Monte Cristo, frittata, chicken salad, cornmeal pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. The restaurant will also have fun brunch drink specials and plans to keep the bar open after brunch leading into dinner service (2 p.m.-5 p.m.) with Social Hour specials. For dinner service, South on Main will offer a 4-course tasting menu with a concert that night starting at 9 p.m. For reservations, call (501) 244-9660.
The Pantry Crest
The Pantry is certainly not chopped liver, but for a slightly more “date night” experience, head to Hillcrest and check out Tomas Bohm’s second location, The Pantry Crest. Tomas has completely transformed the space into an elegant setting nestled into one of Little Rock’s most beloved neighborhoods, while serving downhome European food at reasonable prices.
Valentine’s Plans: The restaurant will offer the usual menu, but reservations are highly recommended. For reservations, call (501) 725-4945.
