Farewell, snow! After several false starts, warm weather has finally arrived in Arkansas. And we couldn’t be happier. We’ve already shed our puffers and planned visits to our favorite festivals. Now we’re ready to welcome the season change at home. To help get us started, Chandler Bailey of B. Interiors is sharing four easy and affordable tips to brighten our spaces for spring:
Focus on flowers: Nothing says spring like fresh blooms. Pick up stems from a local florist or farmers market to create DIY arrangements. Or plant easy-to-maintain pots right outside the window for flowers and greenery to enjoy through the summer.
Light it up: Spring is full of fresh scents. And our homes should be too. Add large candles throughout interior spaces in seasonal fragrances, such as citrus, or in complementing floral notes like jasmine and iris.
Let it shine: We could all use a moment to bask in the sun. Whether it’s with the help of a professional service or a little elbow grease, window washing is a must. Don’t let leftover grime from the snow and ice dull the explosion of colors outside.
Consider a refresh: Contemplating a more drastic change? Wallpaper immediately revives a room, but it’s pricey to purchase and install. A simple coat of bright paint can give the same effect for a fraction of the price.
Spring is here. And after this year’s winter weather overload, that deserves a celebration. Make the most of the season with a few quick investments in your home.
