Bacon Jalapeño Deviled Eggs

  • 12 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tsp. rice vinegar
  • 3/4 tsp. dry ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and diced
  • 6 pieces bacon, cooked, crisp and crumbled

Copycat Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

For the topping:

  • 3 slices bacon, cooked, crisp and chopped, set aside for garnish, drippings reserved
  • 3 pounds potatoes
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 large pinches kosher salt for the water pot
  • 1 tbsp. liquid crab boil
  • kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. big flake Cajun/Creole seasoning or to taste, plus extra for garnish
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. spicy mustard, or to taste
  • 1 tbsp. Chow Chow, jalapeño pickle relish or plain pickle relish (optional)
