Kids like little Willow Gill are facing some frightening realities this holiday season.
Jon Gill was on the road for work when he had to call home and relay some bad news to his wife, Brittany, regarding a call he had just received. It was a call from their daughter’s doctor at Arkansas Children’s. Before he could get a word out, she says, she knew from the raw emotion in his voice what her husband was about to tell her was not good news.
“Our biggest fear was our child had cancer,” Brittany says. “Now that fear was confirmed with a diagnosis of leukemia.”
Willow was just 2 years old.
After four years of hospital stays, chemotherapy treatments and clinic visits, Willow is on her way to a healthier tomorrow, but she needs regular follow-up care at Arkansas Children’s to be sure she stays healthy.
This is where you come in. Your generous support will provide expert pediatric care for Willow and kids like her at Arkansas Children’s.
