If you’re in the middle of training for the Little Rock Marathon (Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, etc.), you probably already know that our fair city is famous for its larger-than-life race medals. Seriously, these things are the size of dinner plates.
Every year, Gina Marchese Pharis and Geneva Lamm—the CICs (Chicks in Charge)—have fun teasing audiences on social media before the announcement of the upcoming race’s theme and medal reveal. Back in August, they unveiled the 2016 Little Rock Marathon theme: Game On, a nod to the world of tabletop/card/boardgames.
Last week, however, we finally got a look at the big bling:
The 2016 race weekend will take place March 4-6, 2016, and you can register here. Changes this year include both the 5K and the 10K taking place on Saturday instead of Sunday, as well as earlier start times. There’s even a free training program, which you can learn more about here.
