We work in a very competitive industry and we fight hard to bring our clients the best that fashion has to offer. I met Jeanne (the owner of Scarlet) 10 years ago, and we’ve been inseparable since. The store has grown five times its original size. We have added an amazing website and we’re currently in the middle of our second Scarlet collection. We like to be hands-on, so we are constantly putting our final touch on everything. It’s when the store closes that most of the work gets done.

Why do you love your career?
Being a buyer allows me to travel to New York and Los Angeles. Being a stylist allows me to express my creativity. Being a manager allows me to work with my friends and see all my favorite people everyday.

What are your goals for the future?
In only 40 words? I’ll keep it simple. 1. Take to the highest level. 2. Continue to expand our clothing line. 3. Open up more brick-and-mortar stores across the country. 4. Have my book published.

How do you define success?
Success is hard to define. But for me, I would say it’s the ability to make a living doing something you love. It’s when work doesn’t feel like work and all your needs are taken care of.

How did you know this is what you wanted to do?
Being a fashion designer was the only career I ever wanted to have. But sometimes, life takes you on a path that isn’t conventional. I’ve learned that I have more than one dream. I’m living them out as we speak.

What is your best personality trait?
The ability to laugh at myself. I’m going to go out of my way to make you laugh, even if it’s at my own expense. I don’t take myself too seriously.
