Gena Gregory and Elizabeth LaRue-Grigg began working together as in-house counsel at Alltel, managing the company’s litigation around the nation. After Verizon acquired Alltel, they decided to open their own law firm, focusing on employment and commercial litigation.

“We have been able to successfully represent individual employees and businesses in a variety of employment disputes and litigation,” Gregory, the firm’s managing partner, says. “Our practice experience allows us to better serve our individual plaintiffs and also advise businesses to avoid and prevent illegal discrimination and retaliation.”

The firm advises its business clients on employment matters and conducts human resources training in the ever-changing area of employment law as well as other commercial and general business law advice. Additionally, the firm selectively represents employees who have suffered illegal discrimination or retaliation in the workplace. The firm’s agility allows them to take a variety of other matters including domestic relations, insurance and commercial litigation.

“I spent the majority of my career as a defense trial attorney and when the opportunity arose to open a firm, I knew that I wanted to expand my practice to include plaintiffs,” says Gregory. “Having worked with Elizabeth, I knew she would bring a creative and intelligent viewpoint and that we made a great team together. The ability to use our skills to help people in need, who have suffered employment discrimination on the basis of their race, sex, age or religious beliefs is of utmost importance to us.”

Elizabeth and her husband, Grant, spend their spare time raising four children under the age of 12, and their two dogs, Stella and Gauge. Gena and her husband, Joe, are enjoying every minute of their empty nest.
