Happy Halloween-- almost!

With the spooky holiday fast approaching this week, plenty of places are celebrating with costume contests, frightful treats and more, including the Old State House Museum, The Fold: Botanas & Bar, and plus tons more.

Tuesday (Oct. 29)

Bobby's Bike Hike 2nd Annual Halloween Costume Ride in downtown Little Rock: Grab your bike and get into the spookiest month of the year with Little Rock's 2nd Annual Halloween Costume Ride. Costumes and lights are a must for the ride. This is a free fun ride for all ages/fitness levels. The ride kicks off at 6 p.m. in the River Market Pavilions. Thursday (Oct. 31)

Ghouls on the River on Mark Twain Riverboat, docked at 100 E. Riverfront Park Dr., North Little Rock: This adults-only party will have entertainment, a costume contest, snacks, brews and more during a cruise down the river on the Market Twain Riverboat. Boarding starts at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. party. The party will continue dockside after the cruise until midnight. The cost of $20/person is cut in half with advance reservations. Spooky Cocktail Party at South on Main, 1301 S. Main St., Little Rock: Get out your best Halloween costumes and head on down to South on Main Thursday night (Oct. 31) for some spooky good times. They will have Halloween-inspired food and cocktail specials, along with a costume contest with fun categories and great prizes, a photo booth run by the talented Heather Canterbury, and live music to put you in the mood by John Willis & Co, featuring Sarah Stricklin. A Halloweenie Event, Benefiting CARE for Animals, at Guitar Repair, 10301 Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock: Celebrate all Hallow's eve with live music, food and drinks for adults. Costumes not required but encouraged, with prizes for best dressed. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at Guitar Repair. Get more information here.

Halloween Monster Tapping and Costume Contest at the Flying Saucer, 323 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock: Monster tappings of Tallgrass Brewing Company Zombie Monkie, Newcastle Werewulf, Sierra Bigfoot, Charlieveill Witch's Brmmm. Tallgrass' own Jeff Gill will be at the Brewers Table with hor'de vours. Monster tappings at 6pm. Costume contest at 10pm. Prizes and a good time. You do not want to miss this. No other place will be rocking with costumes and beer on Halloween night like The Flying Saucer Draught Emporium. You get bonus points for any costume relating to any Tallgrass Beer.

Fright at the Museum! at Old State House Museum, 300 W. Markham, Little Rock: The 1836 Club presents Fright at the Museum on Thursday, October 31st from 7 to 10 p.m. This 21 and up party will be held at the Old State House Museum. Costumes are optional but encouraged. Dinner, drinks and live music will be provided. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40/person at oldstatehouse.com/RSVP.

Friday (Nov. 1)

Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) / Halloween Dance Party at The Fold: Botanas & Bar, 3501 Old Cantrell Road, Little Rock: Celebrate the Day of the Day at the little eatery in Riverdale. Starting at 10:30 p.m., Baldego will be spinning records, there will be a photo booth, costume contests for men, women and couples (starting at midnight) with prizes, door prizes, late-night munchies and drink specials. Through Friday (Nov. 1)

Boo at the Zoo at Little Rock Zoo, 1 Zoo Dr., Little Rock: The incredibly popular Halloween event allow families to enjoy a safe trick-or-treating environment as well as a trip to see the animals at the zoo. In addition to snagging candy and prizes at vendor booths, attendees will enjoy live music and performances, carnival rides and free rides on the carousel, bounce house and obstacle course inflatables, Frankenstein's Dance Party, beast and bones animal presentations, s'mores, hay maze and a haunted house. General admission is $10 (presale $8); all-inclusive armbands $20 (presale $18). For more info and to buy tickets, click hereFor the kids!
