The Best of the Best Margarita Fests

Margaritas take us to a happier place — one where the salty ocean breeze blows across the beach and our only worry is whether the SPF 50 we brought will actually do its job. It’s no surprise then, that four separate events in the coming weeks are dedicated to that most relaxing of drinks: the margarita.

Below are the four marg fests we’ve got on our calendars, and you should, too:

Tres de Mayo Fiesta

6-9 p.m. May 3 | Arkansas Symphony Designer House 2018

Music, fun, food and games await at Tres de Mayo. Moose from Alice 107 will DJ the night away while guests sip on margs and enjoy food from ZaZa’s, Local Lime, Low Ivy Catering, Blue Coast Burrito and Graffiti’s. And keep an eye out for Esteban, the party’s piñata mascot, between your tango and salsa lessons. Tickets are $50 per person. For directions and more info, click here

2018 The Rock City Margarita Festival

4-7 p.m. May 5 | Heifer Village and Urban Farm

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in style at The Rock City Margarita Festival.  Attendees can sample margaritas from more than 25 vendors, enjoy outdoor games, music, taco trucks and, of course, margaritas. Must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are $25-$30 and you can snag yours here.

Cinco de Heights

11 a.m.-4 p.m. May 5 | Heights Taco & Tamale Co.

In honor of the restaurant’s third birthday, the crew at Heights Taco & Tamale Co. is throwing a block party in support of the Arkansas Foodbank. On May 4, the restaurant will serve $5 margaritas (including tax) and $5 cheese dip and salsa combos all day long. On May 5, Heights Taco will take over Kavanaugh Blvd. in front of the restaurant for a few hours of live music, a mojito/margarita/beer zone, kid activities and more. For more info, click here.

Arkansas Times Margarita Fest

6-9 p.m. May 10 | River Market Pavilions

The second Arkansas Times Margarita Fest is sponsored by Don Julio tequila. There will be 20 restaurant teams preparing margaritas and delicious food will be available from Taco Mama and La Terraza. Participants will vote for the best Margarita from the 20 teams. Last year’s champs, Samantha’s Tap Room and Wood Grill will be back to defend their title. Proceeds will benefit the Downtown Partnership. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.
