The downtown event scene just got a whole lot better.
The Downtown Little Rock Partnership (DLRP) recently announced their newest event, the East Village Street Food Jam. It will bring local food trucks and live music together on the Clinton Presidential Center lawn for a full day of fun on Saturday, June 16.
The event will feature a family-style picnic seating area, a beer garden and a kid’s zone with bounce houses and other kid-friendly activities. Live music will begin at 3 p.m. and run through 9 p.m. including sets from The Salty Dogs, The Going Jessies and Rodney Block/Black Superman.
The East Village Street Food Jam will have food trucks galore including:
- Almost Famous
- Beaver Tails
- Bryant’s BBQ and Catering
- Count Porkula
- Kyleigh’s Lemonade Stand
- Loblolly Creamery
- Say Cheese Handcrafted Sandwiches
- Slader’s Alaskan Dumpling Co.
- Sweet Tea Kitchen
- Coffee Spot
“We are thrilled to bring a new event to central Arkansas featuring some of the area’s most popular food trucks and local bands,” said Gabe Holmstrom, executive director of DLRP, in a press release earlier this week. “Our goal with the East Village Street Food Jam is to provide a quieter and more intimate food truck event in comparison to our widely popular Main Street Food Truck Festival held in the fall. We hope to make this a signature event for the growing East Village, attracting more people to this thriving new area of downtown.”
Tickets are $5 and will be available for purchase both before the event and at the gate. Children ages 5 get in for free. Dates and locations for ticket purchasing will be announced in the near future.
