We'll take this over a snake pit any day.

Few movies stand the test of time like "Raiders of the Lost Ark," and now everyone's favorite archeologist is joining forces with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for the final concert of the 2017-2018 Acxiom Pops Live! Series.

Indiana Jones, the Ark of the Covenant and a whole lot of Nazis will take over the big screen at the Robinson Center while the ASO performs the film's score in time with the 1981 classic movie.

Iconic composer John Williams — whose work you know from films like "Star Wars," "Jurassic Park," "E.T." and "Harry Potter" — is the mastermind behind this memorable score.

"Speaking for myself, I must say that the experience of composing the music for this film, and for the subsequent installments in the series, was a very happy one, and offered me a wild and truly joyous ride," Williams said in a prepared statement. "I’m especially delighted that the magnificent Arkansas Symphony Orchestra has agreed to perform the music this evening in a live presentation of the movie."

You have two chances to see the show: 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 13. You can get your tickets online here, by calling (501) 666-1761 or at the Robinson street-level box office 90 minutes before the show.
