The Central Arkansas Library System's (CALS) Butler Center for Arkansas Studies has a full spring lineup for the Arkansas Sounds Music Series, and the schedule is full of concerts covering all genres.
All events are open to the public, but ticket prices vary and can be purchased online. Here's the lineup:
Tribute to True Soul Records
Feb. 23, 7 p.m. | CALS Ron Robinson Theater | Free
A soul music performance from Arkansas legends followed by a panel discussion.
Lyon College Pipe Band
March 23, 7 p.m. | $5 for ages 16 & up; free for ages 15 & under | CALS Ron Robinson Theater
A traditional Scottish bagpipes concert with dancers, a ceilidh band with guitars, accordions, uilleann pipes, and singers.
Sounds in the Stacks
Sounds in the Stacks is a series of intimate concerts at CALS branches around Little Rock that highlight local musicians with different musical backgrounds. All Sounds in the Stacks concerts are free and open to the public.
