Are you a fan of 2FAN? If 2nd Friday Art Night hasn't been on your radar, that's about to change.
Each month, downtown hosts the neighborhood-wide event where museums and galleries open up shop for extended hours with food, live music and activities. Now, the Downtown Little Rock Partnership just announced 2FAN is getting an upgrade.
The revamped gathering will include pop-up space for performers and artists who lack galleries in the area. It will also be more "pedestrian-friendly," refocusing foot traffic along President Clinton Avenue and 2nd and Main streets.
“We are fortunate to have so many creative-types, artists and art lovers living and working in our downtown,” DLRP executive director Gabe Holmstrom said in a press release. “We are excited to be working with the arts community on 2nd Friday Art Night, and we look forward to working with them on growing this event for years to come.”
The new 2FAN launches with this month's event on Sept. 8. It lasts from 5-8 p.m., so you have plenty of time to stop in at each location. Just make sure you wear comfy shoes.
