It's about to get wild, y'all.
On Jan. 27, the Centers for Youth and Families (CFYF) is set to host its annual signature fundraiser, EVOLVE, at the Statehouse Convention Center, but this time with the theme "A Night in the Jungle."
The event is one that helps serve the CFYF mission to "provide specialized prevention, intervention and treatment service that promote emotional and social wellness for children and families of Arkansas."
Each year, the gala also celebrates the introduction of a new Hero of Hope.
"To honor Centers’ history and those who are committed to making an impact in the lives of children and youth, we recognize an individual who has gone above and beyond in making a positive impact as our Hero of Hope," said Chris Shenep of The Centers' Foundation, a group dedicated to raising funds for CFYF.
The 2018 CFYF Hero of Hope will be Congressman French Hill for of his years of work with local children and families, including his passion to connect kids with mentors.
"It’s pretty amazing to reflect on the 133-year history the organization has seen over the years and the continuum of care they provide today," said Congressman Hill. "Being active with members in our communities will always go a long way in making our state a wonderful place to live for the generations to come."
EVOLVE starts at 6 p.m. in the Walley Allen Ballroom. For more information, call (501) 666-9436 or email Audria Strain at AStrain@cfyf.org.
