Is it too early to be craving a mint julep?
The sixth annual Seersucker Social is on the horizon, and we're unabashedly readying ourselves for the most Southern event in town. Hosted by the 1836 Club, the event is set for Thursday, May 18, at the Old State House Museum.
Dripping with down-home style, the Seersucker Social celebrates all good things about the South with the good ol’ boys and gals who love it. The best part is that all proceeds benefit the School Bus Fund, a local initiative that enables area schools to visit the Old State House and learn about Arkansas history.
This is the signature event for the Old State House's 1836 Club, so expect plenty of lawn games, hors d’oeuvres, mint juleps and live music. Dress in your quintessentially Southern best (seersucker not required) and enjoy. There are even prizes for the best dressed guy and gal.
