Inspiring the next generation of Arkansas history lovers is essential — and our Future of History fund will help.

Historic Arkansas Museum Foundation supports the museum’s mission to communicate the early history of Arkansas and its creative legacy by preserving, interpreting and presenting stories and objects for the education and enjoyment of our community and visitors.

In celebration of the museum’s 75th anniversary the museum’s Foundation created the Bill Worthen Future of History Fund, with the goal of inspiring the next generation of Arkansas history lovers. This year, with help from generous donors to the Future of History Fund, we have been able to offer free field trip programs to all Arkansas schools who wanted to participate, from all reaches of the state.

Fundraisers and Events

The Historic Arkansas Museum Foundation hosts the biennial Candlelight Gala (fall 2017), administers the museum membership program, sponsors monthly 2nd Friday Art Nights and makes many programs possible, including our free field trip program and our Arkansas Made acquisition program.

Upcoming 2nd Friday Art Nights:

• October 14, 5-8 p.m.

• November 11, 5-8 p.m.

• December 9, 5-8 p.m. Includes our 12th Ever Nog-off, a friendly competition for the best eggnog in town.

Giving Opportunities

Each gift to the Bill Worthen Future of History Fund, no matter the size, goes to providing Arkansas children the personal, face-to-face learning experience that Historic Arkansas Museum has delivered for decades. Just $50 can provide a hands-on field trip for an entire classroom. Our hope is to revitalize the tradition of every child visiting the museum at least once in his or her school career. Your gift will help. Call or visit our website to donate.
