In 2014, FOX16 News anchor Donna Terrell hosted the first-ever Donna Terrell’s Yoga Warriors Fighting Colon Cancer, a community-wide free yoga event for all fitness levels. Terrell’s daughter, Queah, found strength and comfort in yoga while she battled colon cancer before passing away in March 2011.

"I saw how practicing yoga helped Queah feel better during her treatment and it made me realize how impactful yoga can be while battling a serious illness," Terrell says. "My hope is to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga during cancer treatment and recovery during this annual event while also supporting those in our community fighting the disease."

Terrell is back again this year with more yoga warriors, bigger and better than before, including philanthropist and yoga instructor Natalie Rockefeller of Big Rock Yoga leading this year’s class.

The 2018 event will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Little Rock. Admission is free, and guests are invited to BYO-mat.
