ACCESS is the well-loved school that offers education, therapy, training and the like for kids and adults with learning disabilities. The nonprofit was founded in 1994, but this year marks the organization’s 18th annual Starry, Starry Night fundraiser.
Chaired by Rachael and Daniel Oberste, the 2016 event will take place from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Little Rock Marriott Grand Ballroom. The event includes food, drinks, a silent auction and an always-entertaining live auction.
“There’s such a need in our community for the services that ACCESS provides,” ACCESS Board Chair Kurt Knickrehm says of his first impression of the school. “The amount of time and energy it takes to raise a child with disabilities is a staggering issue to deal with from a parent’s standpoint. And what we saw here was an opportunity to deal with those issues in a very holistic way while also looking for services that could offer real improvements in their children.”
