Celebrate Chinese New Year at Three Fold

Happy Chinese New Year, friends!

Where else would we start off the Year of the Monkey than at our favorite downtown dumpling spot, Three Fold? The team there is doing it right with a special holiday lineup of lively offerings designed to celebrate the the zodiac known for being clever and energetic.

From Feb. 8-11, customers can partake in pork wontons in a spicy sauce, a dish from the Sichuan province in southwestern China. Add to that the northeastern Chinese dish hua juan steamed bun (or “twisted flower bun”) with your choice of slaw.

And because Valentine’s Day falls right in the middle of traditional Chinese New Year celebrations, Three Fold is doing what they do best by combining the East and West with “traditional New Year dishes that represent reunion and love.”

Tang yuan is a rice flour-based sweet dish that usually follows New Year dumplings, so the restaurant will offer these to customers on Saturday, Feb. 13, as a Valentine’s Day treat.

Three Fold is located at 215 Center St. Follow them on Facebook for updates.
