Arkansas Literary Festival Starts Thursday

Get ready, bookworms. It’s the premier gathering of readers and writers in Arkansas, and it’s happening this weekend.

The 12th annual Arkansas Literary Festival hosted by the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) kicks off on Thursday, April 23, and runs through Sunday, April 26. The weeend will feature more than 80 presenters ranging from prestigious award-winners and Grammy nominees to filmmakers, journalists and artists. Included among them are John Waters, Food Network’s Simon Majumdar, lifestyle coach Desha Peacock, Rebecca Wells, Charles D. Morgan, Andrew Keen, Cheryl & Griff Day, Rick Bragg, Seph Lawless, Wesley K. Clark and Bryan Collier.

If you’re interested in meeting some of your favorite writers face-to-face, make sure you get your tickets to the Author! Author! party on Friday night. Join in for hors d’oeuvres, libations, books and a night toasting the festival’s finest.
